Flights

We recommend flying into SFO. You can sometimes find deals at OAK or SJC, but they have fewer options and a longer ride to the city.

  • SFO → City: Uber/Lyft ~15–40 min depending on traffic and location
  • BART: convenient from both SFO and OAK

Hotels

We recommend staying in areas that are central and easy for walking/Uber. The Luma Hotel is the closest hotel to the venue. If you'd like to stay elsewhere, feel free to contact us for advice on locations.

  • We have a limited number of rooms reserved at a discounted rate. Please use the booking link here.
  • If you’d prefer an Airbnb, we’d suggest staying within the city.

Getting Around

San Francisco is very doable without a car. For most guests, Uber/Lyft/Waymo plus a little walking will be the easiest.

  • Rideshare: Best for door-to-door
  • Waymo: A driverless experience
  • Muni: Our city bus and light rail system. Great for quick trips around the city.
  • Baywheels: Our favorite way to explore — by bicycle! Access through the Lyft app.
  • Parking: Can be tricky around the city — we don't recommend driving to the wedding activities.

Tip: Check the Things To Do tab for our favorite spots in SF.

FAQs

Wedding Day Weather Tip

The ceremony will be outdoors, with the celebration moving inside for the remainder of the evening. While the neighborhood is typically sunny, San Francisco weather can vary up to 15 degrees depending on where you’re staying. We recommend bringing layers (the fog is real!) and sunglasses (fingers crossed for sunshine).

What should I wear on the day of the wedding?

Our dress code is Formal, but wear something you feel like dancing in! For people who want to wear pants, a suit or tux are both great choices. For people who want to wear dresses, floor-length gowns are perfect, and elegant shorter dresses are also great. There are stairs in the venue, so wear (or bring) shoes you feel comfortable going up a flight of stairs in. For those who need it, an ADA elevator is available.

What should I wear to the welcome event?

For the welcome event on Friday, the dress code is Dressy Casual. Think a polished yet relaxed look, blending comfortable with elevated pieces, like midi or maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or tailored button-downs with chinos—with or without a jacket.

Event Transportation

Because guests may be staying in different parts of the city, the easiest way to get around is by using third-party ride-share apps such as Lyft, Uber, or Waymo. These services provide a convenient option for traveling to and from The Pearl.

Are the events kid-friendly?

The Wedding and Welcome Event are unfortunately not suitable for children. Please let us know if you are planning to bring your little ones and need help finding childcare options.

Dietary Restrictions

When it’s time to RSVP, please let us know of any dietary restrictions--vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, or otherwise. We’ll make sure there are options available for you.
